Ladies, here's a man you're gonna love! Though I tried to keep his bio short, after talking with him, I just couldn't bear to leave anything out--so read and be prepared for some hot stuff!

Rick has been a fireman for 21 years and is currently the staff assistant for the battalion chief and takes part in the command aspect of fighting fires. After going to several funerals in New York following 9-11, he sees that the common bond of brotherhood for firefighters is stronger than ever. All of us who watch those brave men risk their lives day in and day out couldn't agree more these men are true heroes!

When I asked Rick if he was a family man, he said, "I have 3 great sisters, 3 brother-in-laws, 5 nieces and one nephew. I think we are very close and every year we get together at a family and friends Thanksgiving Day celebration at the Colorado River. The event gets bigger every year, and that means the family is, too. I am sorry I haven't had any kids. I don't think it's too late...

Rick says the dog in the picture, Tatanka, is half Husky and half Austrailian Shepherd--he is the best half breed anyone could have . (Barbara says--anyone who reads my books know how much I love a half breed!) "Tatanka has a soft disposition that anyone could love," Rick says. The horse in the picture was owned by a well known actor and used for a photo shoot. Rick has one thoroughbred of his own named Dancer and boards horses on his property. He rides as often as he can and often can be seen running through the trails in Santa Monica.

I asked Rick how he got started in commercials and he told me he met his commercial agent at a horse show in 1997 and has done 14 commercials since, including Texaco, Motrin, Apple Computers, State Farm and Home Depot, to name just a few. He has also worked as an extra in ER, Strong Medicine and a GE commercial not yet released. I'll be watching for it, Rick!

Rick is currently separated, and his divorce will be final in August. He's not only available, he tells me, he is looking! Something tells me this guy won't be looking too long!

Rick's hobbies are sports and the outdoors. He will be attending the World Police and Fire Games in Quebec, Canada in June and from past competitions has 3 bronze medals for track and one Gold in softball. He currently plays on one softball and one baseball team and is a member of a running club, plus he loves to mountain bike. "Cross training for life," he says. "Yours and mine." It's a fireman thing! He also likes woodworking and built his own house as a hobby, that turned into a full time contracting job.

His birthday is March 22--which makes him the perfect Man of the Month! Don't you agree?
